Within 48 hours of completing the required forms, you will receive an email with a temporary login from HotSchedules, the app we use for scheduling. CLICK HERE to download the app from the App Store. Pathway is the app that we use for training. During your time at Chick-fil-A, this app will be your resource for all Chick-fil-A procedures, and will also be used during your 4-5 week training. All Team Members must wear solid black slip resistant shoes even on their first day. We recommend Shoes for Crews, but they can also be purchased at Walmart, Meijer, Amazon, ect.
In order to complete your paperwork on your first day please bring a valid U.S. Passport OR a picture ID AND either your Social Security Card or your Birth Certificate OR any of the documents listed at the link below. If you have any questions, or need more options, please refer to page three of this document.
If you are under 18 years old, then you will need to fill out some additional information. 16 and 17-year-olds, are required to pick up a yellow work permit from your school office that must be filled out by your first day. 15-year-olds, are required to pick up a pink work permit from your school office that must be filled out by your first day.
You will receive your schedule within 3 days after you have been hired. Brad will text you a schedule for the week you plan on starting.
It will be available the day before your scheduled start date. Please call 616-534-2961 before you come to the restaurant to verify that your uniform has arrived.
You should arrive wearing your uniform, slip resistant shoes, have your work permit (if you are a minor), and all your forms of ID (I-9 documents).
Cfahome.com and Pathway houses all of our training programs. That email is an automatic email you receive when an account has been created for you. Your username and password will be given to you during training or orientation and explained in detail. So, disregard those emails for now.
Make sure you talk to your trainer on your first day. They will help you set it up and make sure you are able to sign in before you leave.
We recommend “Shoes for Crews” but you can find them at most stores. Most of our team members have purchased shoes from Meijer, Walmart or Shoes for Crews. Make sure they cover your entire foot so your feet do not get wet.
4-5 weeks is a typical training time span. You will start with one-on-one training with a Trainer and then you will slowly transition to working positions without a trainer.
